HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Time is running out to provide feedback on the Long-Term Recovery Plan from the Lahaina wildfires.
Friday Nov. 15 is the final day to give input.
A draft of the plan includes 40 projects covering community planning, economic recovery, health and social services, housing, infrastructure, and natural and cultural resources.
Community members were given the chance to ask County and State officials questions about the plan at two open houses in October that highlighted 20 of the projects.
The county says feedback from an online questionnaire and the open houses will be used to create the final Long-Term Recovery Plan, which is expected to be released by the end of 2024.
The county also notes the Long-Term Recovery Plan is a “living document” and will be open to amendments as needed.
